URBAN INNOVATIONS, LTD.

Renovating warehouse loft buildings into commercial office and retail space has made Urban Innovations, Ltd. a major player in the redevelopment of the River North and River West areas of Chicago since the mid-1980s. Design Organization, Inc. became a member of their team as consulting architects when the company made the decision to outsource in 1998.

Since that time, DO has worked closely with the development, leasing, marketing and construction management departments of Urban Innovations. Projects and services include building core and shell redesign, restroom renovations, building lobbies and tenant improvement build-outs. In addition, DO has developed and updated their as-built drawing files for thirteen properties and provides space planning services on an as-needed basis.
