BO JACKSON'S LEGACY ATHLETIC CENTER

Design Organization and Jeff Ban of DVG, Inc. have been working with Bo Jackson and the City of Crown Point in the development of the Legacy Athletic Center, proposed to be located at the 81-acre Crown Point "Sportsplex".

The University of Illinois Chicago Campus was built in the early 1960s. Designed by Walter Netsch, the campus is a series of concrete structures and pre-cast facades. The freeze-thaw cycles of the Midwest, though, have been detrimental to the exposed concrete structures. In addition to the exterior deterioration, Lincoln Hall is technically dated and no longer meets the needs of the current classroom environment.

The Portage Lakefront is the first project in the implementation of the Marquette Plan transforming the Indiana Lake Michigan Shore from rust to environmental restoration and recreation. The project is being submitted for LEED Gold.
