SAINT ANTHONY OUTPATIENT CAMPUS
Crown Point, Indiana |
Saint Anthony Medical Campus (SAMC) is developing a new 78-acre Outpatient Campus at the intersection of I-65 and SR 231. DO initially developed a program statement defining project goals, needs and scope with SAMC administration, staff, physicians and Program Manager Tonn & Blank. DO then worked with DVG engineering and the Hitchcock Design Group to develop a site Master Plan to meet initial needs while maximizing long-term growth and flexibility opportunities for SAMC. The 83,500 square foot first Phase of the project will include two Pavilions: a Sports Medicine Institute with Orthopedic Physician Offices, additional medical office building space, Physical Therapy, and an Athletic Development Center; and a Care Pavilion with Urgent Care, Primary Care, and a technologically advanced Imaging Center with flexible space for growth or additional programs.
The design takes advantage of the site orientation with a long east-west axis providing excellent solar orientation for protected entrances, daylighting, and energy efficiency. The main circulation spine which connects both Pavilions is designed to continue to connect future facilities providing protected convenience to patients who may be accessing multiple services.
DO also provided design services on two recently completed outpatient centers in Crown Point and Schererville, as well as interior design services for the renovation of the Obstetrics Unit at the main hospital which was completed the end of August. |
