DO AT O'HARE |
The Chicago Airport System’s second annual “Month of Environment” event is in full swing. This year, area design firms, manufacturers, and organizations with capabilities in sustainable design were invited to participate by designing educational kiosks demonstrating sustainable practices and projects. The kiosks are on display at O’Hare and Midway International Airports from April 3-27. As part of the month-long celebration, the Chicago Airport System has increased their recycling efforts on the consumer and operational sides with additional recycling bins and compactors for cardboard and paper recycling.
Located in Terminal 3 at O’Hare’s International Airport, the Design Organization kiosk features two of their LEED projects and the features that make them sustainable. Additional information lists general considerations for environmentally responsible design.
When the month is over, the kiosk will move to Portage City Hall for display.
