DARIN COUTURIAUX, AIA, LEED AP

Mr. Couturiaux brings to DO a diverse background in project design and construction management in healthcare, commercial, hospitality and residential projects. He received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies in 1996 and a master’s in architecture and civil engineering in 1998 from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Prior to graduation he received the Earl Prize Design Award and as a graduate student served as a teaching assistant in architectural lighting.
Following his graduation, Darin worked with architecture firms in Chicago on projects such as the faculty offices for the Loyola University Medical Center Department of Radiation Oncology, the Department of Neurology, and the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation. He also worked on the Condell Medical Center expansion and renovation, the Condell Medical Office Building, the renovation of the University of Chicago Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine Outpatient Registration, the Westin Michigan Avenue Lobby renovation and several other projects in the Chicago area.
Since joining DO, Darin has focused his efforts primarily on healthcare projects. He was project architect for the DuPage Eye Surgery Center in Wheaton and the recently completed Orthopaedic Association of DuPage Outpatient Surgery Center in Warrenville, Illinois. Currently, he is completing construction administration for the Franciscan Point Health Complex in Crown Point, Indiana.
