John Hamann

Principal

John joined DO in 1990 as a designer and manager of the Chicago office. Within a few years he was named an Associate and is now an Associate Principal. His experiences included specialty retail, restaurants, corporate workplace planning and design. During this period, he worked extensively with developers such as The Rouse Company and Melvin Simon.

After joining DO, John has focused on workplace planning and design. He is the DO resource, regarding workplace philosophy, guidelines, and standards. John is also excellent working with end users to determine their needs and align those needs with other stakeholders. He helps clients define and incorporate their Brand into the workplace. He believes communication among all stakeholders, client management, facilities, and end users as well as project team members is the key to success in any project.
