JOHN HAMANN
Associate Principal
John is a licensed professional interior designer with more than 20 years experience in the field of commercial architectural interiors.
After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Ball State University, John began his career in Atlanta in 1981 working with the design firms of Gary Aldridge and Associates and W.C. Morgan and Associates. His diverse Atlanta experiences included specialty retail, restaurants, corporate workplace planning and design, and furniture design. During this period, he also worked extensively with developers such as The Rouse Company and Melvin Simon.
John joined DO in 1990 and now manages the DO Chicago office. He has broad experience in the development of workplace guidelines and standards to reflect, enhance or be a catalyst for change in a variety of corporate cultures. As such, John has developed and implemented corporate workplace branding programs. His knowledge of both interior architecture and furnishings maximizes integration of the workplace for his clients.
