Principal

Spero joined Design Organization in 1976 and became a principal in 1981. As President, he has nurtured a firm culture which truly listens to our clients’ needs, goals, and aspirations. He believes our commitment to providing unparalleled service gives us the opportunity to do what we are passionate about–design.

Spero has the ability to achieve consensus among diverse stakeholders. Focusing on Master Facility Planning, he counsels clients on how to create an environment to reinforce their existing culture and work processes, and/or as a catalyst for change. His philosophy of design is based in research into the psychological effects of orientation, lighting, scale, color, material, massing, and nature on us, as we interact with the built environment.

Spero has served on many community task forces and non-profit boards and feels giving back is a responsibility DO and its staff share.
