Before joining DO in 1999, Tom had his own architectural practice in Chicago where he specialized in adaptive reuse of existing buildings, specialty commercial retail complexes, interior space planning, and renovations of historic landmarks.

Tom was named an Associate in 2006. He has developed a strong institutional group of clients in both Higher Education and Healthcare in the Chicagoland area. He has an excellent understanding of the Chicago Building Department Processes and Codes, and is a Self Certified Architect in the City of Chicago.

Tom epitomizes DO’s philosophy of design and project management that strives first and foremost to achieve the goals of the client. He is diligent about putting together the absolute best team of professionals for each project. He also understands the importance of equal opportunity as he brings these teams together.
