AMERIPLEX – DEARBORN BUILDINGS
Portage, Indiana

The Dearborn Buildings are located in Ameriplex at The Port, Northwest Indiana’s mixed-use business park in Portage. The flexible tech/office building caters to businesses that are searching for a quality environment in an attractive park setting.
Primarily block with brick and limestone veneer, the building incorporates corner windows into the design to allow maximum light penetration to the interior. The design also features three drive-in doors.

The building is equipped with fiber-optic telecommunication services with redundancy, natural lighting and the high parking ratios. A flexible mixed-use plan, the building was designed to handle pure office/technology environments as well as modest warehouse space for companies seeking to grow their business and improve productivity.

The building is 24,000 square feet and could be a single- or multi-tenant office. After leasing, DO designed a second similar 24,000 square foot facility in 2003.

INDIANA FAMILY AND SOCIAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (FSSA) OFFICE BUILDINGS
Gary, Indiana

Design Organization worked with the Holladay Group to design a two building office complex in downtown Gary, Indiana. The three-story 63,000 square foot facility was designed for a single tenant but is easily convertible to a multi-tenant facility.

DO worked with the City of Gary to integrate the buildings and site into the City’s downtown redevelopment master plan. The building’s architectural vocabulary historically references a time of prosperity in the community. One of the first new buildings on Broadway in many years, the complex is an anchor that will contribute to the revival of Broadway as the Main Street of the community.
