Aetna Inc. recently moved into its Chicago office at One South Wacker Drive, occupying 1 ½ floors in the 40-story tower. DO worked with Program Managers Jones Lang LaSalle to design an exciting and energetic work environment for the 150 local employees in the 54,000 square foot space. Daylighting of the work-place is combined with spectacular views of Chicago’s famed financial district. The design includes a 3-story atrium dining area and a new prototype for alterna-tive workplace touch-down lounges for the traveling employee.

Continuing our relationship with Aetna, DO is working with their HDMS subsidiary, on the expansion of their offices in Beachwood, Ohio just outside Cleveland. The newly completed space is the home for the HDMS I.T. Team. An open office environment utilizing low panel heights, bright colors, and increased lighting levels creates a vibrant collaborative work environment for the occupants of the new space. Move in is expected in early October 2008.
