By renovating warehouse loft buildings into commercial office and retail space, Urban Innovations, Ltd. has been a major player in the redevelopment of the River North and River West areas of Chicago since the mid-1980s. Design Organization, Inc. became a member of their “team” as their consulting architects when they made the decision to outsource these services in 1998.
Since that time, projects and services have included building core and shell redesign, restroom renovations, building lobbies and tenant improvement build-outs. In addition, DO has developed and updated their as-built drawing files for thirteen properties and provides space planning services on an as-needed basis.
