With a landlocked Valparaiso Hospital, Porter chose to address the competitive direction of health care and patient convenience issues with the Valparaiso Outpatient Campus. A patient-focused dayroom concept was developed to provide patients with a sense of privacy and comfort. This more private healing environment allows patients’ families to participate and thus accelerates the recovery process. The facility has proved flexible, undergoing several renovations including a Cath Lab renovation in one OR and renovation of areas for a new Imaging Center.
